born August 7, 1942, in San Javier, Province of Santa Fe (Argentina). He began his boxing career when he was only 18 years old. And in 1970 took the world title, which robbed Nino Benvenuti and kept it until his retirement in 1977, after defending successfully on 14 occasions.
